PLASMA TECHNOLOGY
- in practice for electrically conductive materials
- principle – creation of the cutting kerf by fusing of the cutted material and its blowing by flow of the high pressure gases
- the source of the heat is the plasma torch, whose function is to create plasma beam with the temperature up to 30.000°C
- plasma beam is created by burning of electrical arc between electrode and cutted material in the ionised plasma gas, which flows under pressure, with high speed through nozzle of the torch
- the plasma beam by own high temperature fuses cutted material and flow of the plasma gas blows its out from the cutting kerf
- by development of the plasma power sources and construction of the torches is achieved increasing of the cut quality
